NAMI TraumaInSight is a virtual training that covers the principles of trauma awareness. When working with youth and young adults, using trauma-informed practices creates safe and secure environments for them. This course is designed for youth-serving professionals, can be completed in three hours, and is completely free. In this training, learners can expect to receive lessons on:
Trauma Care
How to identify youth who are experiencing trauma, and what actions to take to support youth living with trauma
Language
What language to use (and avoid) when talking with youth about trauma
Impact
How trauma impacts behavior, the role resilience plays in healing trauma, and so much more!
Who Should Enroll?
This training is tailored for youth-serving professionals and volunteers across various sectors including education, childcare, community services, faith-based groups, and the residential/justice system. It is open to all at no cost.

The training is self-paced and is designed to take approximately 3 hours to complete. The content includes:
