NAMI Northern Lakes will offer its free, evidence-based Family-to-Family education program this fall in Rhinelander. The eight-session course is designed to support family members, friends, and significant others of adults living with mental health conditions.

Classes will be held Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (upper level) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rhinelander.

Classes 1–4: August 28 – September 18

Classes 5–8: October 2 – October 23 (pizza to be served at the last class)

(No class on September 25)

NAMI Family-to-Family provides information about a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Participants will learn about treatment options, effective communication, problem-solving skills, and strategies for self-care and advocacy. The course is led by trained volunteers who have firsthand experience supporting a loved one with mental illness.

“This course overall was the single most, without a doubt, helpful and informative thing ever offered in all my years searching for answers,” said one past participant. “It helped me understand better and communicate more effectively with my brother.”
